Claude artifacts
How to put a Claude artifact on your own domain
Can a Claude artifact use a custom domain?
Not on claude.ai: published artifacts always live on Claude's domain, with Claude's branding. To show one on your own address, such as docs.yourcompany.com, connect that domain to PDF Deck once, then publish the artifact's HTML there. Every page you share after that uses your domain automatically.
Put a Claude artifact on your domain
- 1In PDF Deck, go to Settings → Domains and add a subdomain you own, like docs.yourcompany.com.
- 2Add the one CNAME record it shows you at your DNS provider. It is verified in minutes, and HTTPS is set up for you.
- 3Publish the artifact: paste or upload its HTML, or ask Claude to publish it through the PDF Deck connector.
- 4The link is on your domain. Older links you shared keep working too.

| No Claude branding | ✓ | – |
| Hide the top bar entirely (paid, with a custom domain) | ✓ | – |
| A "Book a call" button that goes where you choose | ✓ | – |
| HTTPS | ✓ | ✓ |
Why use your own domain for AI-made pages?
A link on docs.yourcompany.com looks like it came from your company, because it did. Prospects are more likely to click it, email filters are less likely to flag it, and nobody wonders which AI tool made the page.
Subdomain, not your main site
Use a subdomain such as docs., share. or go. so your main website is untouched. You only add one DNS record, and you can remove it any time.
Make it look like your own page
Add your logo and brand colour once and they appear on every page, password screen and email gate. On paid plans with a custom domain you can hide the top bar completely, so the page is just your page.
Can I host it on my main website instead?
Yes. Download the HTML from Claude and upload it to your site, or embed the PDF Deck page with the embed code. Embedding keeps the tracking and access controls; uploading the raw file doesn't.
Questions
- Is a custom domain included on the free plan?
- Custom domains are on paid plans. The free plan uses our short share domain.
- Can I use my root domain (yourcompany.com)?
- Use a subdomain (docs.yourcompany.com). Your root domain usually already points at your website.
- Do old links break if I add a domain later?
- No. Links you already sent keep working; new links use your domain.
