How to see who viewed your Claude artifact
Can you see who viewed a Claude artifact?
No: Claude doesn't show views or viewers for published artifacts. To see who opened one, publish its HTML with PDF Deck. Every view is recorded with time, location and device, how far down the page they scrolled and which buttons they clicked, and per-person links or an email gate tell you exactly who it was.
See who views a Claude artifact
- 1Publish the artifact with PDF Deck: paste or upload the HTML, or ask Claude through the connector.
- 2Make a link for each person you send it to ("make a link for Sam at Acme"), or turn on the email gate.
- 3Turn on alerts by email, Slack or HubSpot.
- 4Open the page's analytics, or ask Claude: "Who opened the Acme proposal?"

What each view tells you
Time and date, rough location, device and browser, time on the page, how far down they scrolled, which headings they reached and which links and buttons they clicked, including your call-to-action button.
Know exactly who it was
Anonymous views show where and when. To know the person, give each recipient their own link (their views carry their name), or ask for an email before the page opens. Forwarded links show up as new people.
Get told when it happens
An email when someone opens it, a Slack message, or a note on the contact in HubSpot. The best time to follow up is while they are still reading.
No tracking cookies
Viewers aren't tracked across the web. Identity comes only from the link you sent or the email they enter.
Questions
- Is view tracking free?
- Every plan counts views. Who-read-what detail (scroll depth, clicks, per-person links, email gates) is on Pro.
- Does the viewer know they are tracked?
- Visitors see a normal page. If you use an email gate, they are asked for their email before it opens.
- Can I see views on my original claude.ai link?
- No. Only views of the PDF Deck link are recorded, so send that link instead.
